What do I have here?
on: August 08, 2022, 11:15:21 PM
I popped into my local junk shop and happened upon a couple of SAK's, one is a hard-worked SD Classic (it looked lonely so I had to give it a new home) the other I thought was a Standard.  I based this on the same tool set as the Spartan, but no key ring, toothpick, or tweezers.

However, I have a niggling doubt.  All the Standard's I have seen had a 5 twist corkscrew with the grove and no 90 degree stop on the bottle opener.

This one has a 4 twist corkscrew with no grove and a 90 degree stop on the bottle opener.

It has Scale has FISHER-ROSEEMOUNT on it, who I believe started business in about 1993.

Any ideas what model I have ?

You were right it is a Standard just from the mid 80s or later. They had economy versions too that had no scale tools but they’re all Standards or Spartans.

Many thanks, I was hopeful it was a Standard but did not want to get excited till I was sure

I love the Standard. Solid scales, no fripperies; & all quiet business.
