Torx bit sizes on Leatherman knives
on: February 01, 2009, 01:37:05 AM
Anyone happen to know what size torx bit the Leatherman knife pocket clips take?

It's smaller than 10, (I'm guessing 8), and I'm hoping to pick one up tomorrow and give some stuff a right good tightenin'

Thanks.
I used to come here a lot.

If you're asking about the bits in the bit kit, T10 is the smallest you'll get. They come in sizes of T10, T15, T20, T25, T27 and T30.

It is indeed a T8. I found a bit kit with one in and my pocket clip is tightened :)

Thanks for the replies folks  :salute:

I have a T9 bit that fits my C303.  But then it's from a very cheap kit and may be undersized :o

I just tried the T8 in a c303 and it seems to fit well, so you could be right!

I have craftsman jeweler's screw drivers in both T8 and T9, and while both of them fit, I believe the screws on all the LM knives are a T8, just a tad loose, like a philips screw will be sometimes.  A lot of Gerbers use these for the main pivot, and T6 for the lower screws.
