I saw a YouTube video just this after about what looks to be a really nice fixie coming from Twisted.  I could only watch half the video before I was starting to shake and get the cold sweats.  Must resist!

The Gambler does look a beaut, so reasonably priced too. It'd compliment your back pocket caddy real well, and I'm sure we're all curious how it stacks up against the CRKT Hunt N Fish  :pok:

(I do think the Spey blade is a good worker, but I prefer the Sheepfoot for opening fruits. No real reason.... :dunno:)

Day 4

And today, it stepped up! I tried all 3 blades to help peel this orange. The spey had trouble getting through the peel without the belly hitting the flesh. The point of the clip did ok, but was a little awkward to use. The serrated sheepsfoot easily sliced just through the peel without any fuss. Maybe that's why Vic's orange peeler is semi-serrated? Who knows. I do know that I'd recommend a serrated sheepsfoot for orange peeling duty.

Not pictued: Me wishing I had a toothpick after lunch.

Day 4
The Yeoman cuts some treats for Fisher’s Jumpin Jack before I went to run some errands.  One of those errands included buying some beer in bottles, now that my tool selection includes a bottle opener

A traditional with a serrated blade, Awesome.  I know plain edge is more versatile, but I do find a serrated edge can really come in handy on occasion.

To those admiring the trad, I must severely dissuade you all by saying how it comes with a free leather clip slip, can be had in G10 or CF, and there are blems available for substantially cheaper.

I do hope that I have sufficiently told you off and you're definitely not considering the very reasonably priced knife anymore.  :salute:

 :twak:

We should have a torture chamber for people like you.  :ahhh

When my wife catches you, you are done.

I also prefer serrated, but on a stockman, you've got space for options. My feeling is, if you're going to have more than one, the blades should be as varied as possible. Historically, I understand the purpose of the spey. Given how little hand castration is happening these days, I really with someone would take the leap to flex that slot a little more with something different (and possibly serrated).

I don't need a chamber, I'm happy to do this to you all in the open air of the forum  ;)

If she must murder me, can she at least bring a big Toblerone from the airport first? Last meal and all that  :hatsoff:

Day 05
I used the Champion's can opener/small flat driver to change batteries in my weather radios.  Picture shows the 10 corroded batteries I discovered in my battery storage box.  They're only 2 years old and have never been installed in anything!  I really need to switch everything to Lithium batteries.

Those lithium batteries are the way to go, especially for electronics that has a slow parasitic drain.
