I think my chances are slim to make it a straight.

Soo...I'd like to draw three new cards and keep the 4 of clubs and 3 of hearts please

You sure?

If you exchange your nine....you win with an Ace or a Six.....so that's 8 cards that might win this round for you......  :dunno:

was there one card you really didn't want?

So close.... BUT! You do now have a traditional or folder to go with the trusty SAK!  :dunno:

comis retains the winning hand.

Day 07

I do like more options! I'll keep my Explorer Plus and Twisted Trad, but add the Bond to complete a common carry and the Midnite Manager for a 58mm option.

Check out my Youtube channel  for gear reviews, comparisons, and carry philosophy.

Day 07

I don't know what I got on the blade of the Champion but it was something sticky that needed to be cleaned with oil.  Figured I'd take care of the Kershaw Jack at the same time.

Day 7

Swapping both knifes, because why not? I've wanted to carry this TL-29 for a while, so into the pocket it goes. And I figure if I'm going to carry a small folder blade, it makes more sense to carry the bigger fixie, so out comes the KABAR. I expect it will mostly be staying in the room, but maybe I'll baton a log just to say I've done it at some point next week.

Apparently New York is theme of this week's carry.

I have two: the typical coffee maker and a cold brew rig. I should add to the arsenal.

My favorite method is with an Aeropress.  A single wall steel or titanium French Press is also nice especially if you go camping and make coffee for more than one.  I also recommend the Primula Brew Buddy for travel or emergency.

(Ok, I confess I’m addicted to more than just SAKs)

I confess to being less than pleasant company when I don't have my coffee.  That's why the first thing I do when there's any sort of weather incoming is to make a pot of coffee in case we lose power. :ahhh :ahhh

Day 7
Used the Yeoman to pen a couple packages, the topped off night with it opening a dessert beer

And with all the others improving on their hands, I guess I’ll see if the hot deck will be nice to me also.  I’ll keep the kings and draw 3 new cards.

I didn’t really expect a change, although I think I might change the SAK out to another favorite, but I have to think.

More Day 8

Replaced a rib cap on an umbrella. The original ones are wooden, and one had split. I made a slit in a plastic one for the thread and now you can't even tell.

Day 8:
Waiting for Comis’s ruling on MicroHawk my next run will consist of:

Joker Sevillana representing a traditional Spanish Navaja, Champion Plus modded with SilverTech scales as an SAK, as for the fixis it will be two out four shown. Out of MicroHawk, Arditi, Camillus Wayne at War or Whiskey Corvid two will be stepping up after ruling by Comis.

Oh my!
Now, I think I will choose one tradional or modern Italian (medium sized Coltello Romano, Pattada, some kind of rasoio or something modern, have not really made up my mind yet) and MB scaled SwissChamp for the smaller ones.

As for the fixies, I'm yet again requesting Tops MicroHawk been considered as a fixed blade. After all it is designed to be used and carried as a more convinient and efficient fixie.
Should I get this permission I'll keep the Arditi and complement it with the said MicroHawk. Failing that, it'll be something else.

I'll have to defer to comis.....but sounds OK to me....  :dunno:
Thanks for the wait!
Though Microhawk took the shape of a tomahawk, I think it's primary functions is still slicing/splitting more than chopping, so it is fine with me too.  :tu:

Hence, my fixies shall be the MicroHawk and the Arditi.

I'm going for the win!

I'll go for the outside straight an exchange my Queen of Spades and Four of Clubs for a winning hand!   :ahhh

Let's see what Lady Luck has install for you....

Yikes, so close to a Flush!  A pair of nine for a SAK and a MT, a great improvement than just a Fixie from the Queen of Spade.

Day 8

Didn't get a chance to use the Spirit MX after the cards swap today, but was using this as an opportunity to think about EDC carry:

I am thinking how to approach my non-challenge EDC, like layers of clothing--
Base layer: SAK Mountaineer (4 layers, 102g)
2nd layer:  SAK Mountaineer + Knipex Cobra XS (162g)
3rd layer:   Spirit MX (one hand opening blade, pliers + other tools, 215g)
