Just getting this in while it's fresh on my mind: I'd like to keep my pair of fours and discard the rest. My daily photo will come later.

Let's see...

Good try, but not much has changed here, and the Fixie and SAK will be the carry for the remainder of the challenge.

I can hardly believe this...a new Two Pairs!  Now your cards has just overtaken Nix's Two Pair and is the new reigning hand!  Wow!  Lucky!  :woohoo:

The Two Pairs will enable you to carry any combo from the following 4 tools, on Day 22 and onforward.  Your choice can be any of the 2 fixed blade, 1 pliers-based multitool and 1 SAK.

Wow, thats awesome.
Luck is always with the stupid brave it seems.
Thank god, a SAK and a MT for tomorrow.  :woohoo:

Another SAK might rotate in, but the Izula II is staying.

Day 20

'Twas a busy day for the Hiker. Some pesky branches were dealt with appropriately, the saw got cleaned off, some fresh oil was added, and a box was opened.

What?  Dumping the pair of 8s, and start from ground zero?  Wow...bold move!  :ahhh
Show content

Can't believe my eyes!  You dump a pair of 8s and now you get 2 pairs!?   :o :o :o

Get out of here!  That's unreal!

The new two pair will enable you to carry up to 4 tools for the rest of the challenge, and you even get 4 suits!  That's mean, any combo up to 4 tools from the following: 1 fixie, 1 SAK, 1 MT and/or 1 Folder/Trad...

Seriously, strongly suggest to go get lottery today, today is your day!

Such is fate, Lady Luck seems to be mischievous here, swapping in 5, 10, K...but you got another 10 and K back!
Good try!  No change in the carry for the remaining of the challenge.

I'll stick with the Mora and Deluxe Tinker. Thanks! :like:

Wife and I went to the drive in for Raider's of The Lost Ark and Top Gun: Maverick.

The Eldris hung out with us, and I grabbed a spare set of tweezers to test the antenna trick. It made a noticeable difference.

Echotech, keeping the two Spades and shooting for a Spades Flush...

2 new cards, you got...Wow...9 of Spades...

So close!  Almost!  Just like RP before you, you swap in the Q and you got a Q back!   High card A of Spades, a fixie will be the carry for the rest of the second half.  :tu:

Thanks comis  :tu:

I’ll stick with the Buck 113

Have compressed and added pics for days 20 and 21, they don’t seem to render on the page correctly with half of the pic missing but also doubled  :ahhh at least they’re there!

Day 20
:woohoo: Thanks to my new hand it looks like I will have much greater options for my final week carry.  That was exactly what I was hoping for.  While I am contemplating my carry here is a pick of the Case 63087 on a bromeliad.

Though I prefer the file over the saw, still a big fan for what it is.  Probably one of the best for small hand tool in the business.

I always think Buck knives are quite photogenic, and those pairing knives from Vic are so care free, it easily becomes everyone's favorite in house.  IIRC, Jackknife wrote about how he(or his wife) carried a pairing knife from Vic, and it was really useful during travel.

Reporting some issues:
Since yesterday tapatalk is not allowing singing in to the forum :(
Glitch on site, matrix or at my end, dunno
In any case I could not post my yesterday's entry and for today no success so far.
Will keep on trying..

Hope the situation would resolve itself, once in a while Imgur may have hosting issues, and I just directly attach my photo onto the forum.  Having said that, IIRC, the forum only allows small sized photo, so I usually have to resize my photo before the attachment.

Btw, today is Day 21, would you want to swap in any cards for a better hand?  :pok:

I’ve got half a dozen of the pairing knives in different sizes and a couple of the folding ones, absolutely love them. I’ve been giving the folding ones as Christmas presents and are very happily received. I gave the same people Opi 8’s last year and they make a great picnic combo

Pair of 9s, but so close!  I can't help but to flip the next card, and it is the 5 of clubs.

The pair of 9s give us a Trad/Folder and/or Fixie for the remaining of the challenge, great improvement over the last hand.

I am at one point so tempted to mod that folding pairing knife and make it my EDC, and tbh still peaking over the fence to do it sometime...that ultralight weight and total harmless profile really is ideal for city carry.
