Mine are the Old Wave and the PSTII. I have one of each and think they are really quite good  :) The Old Wave has been discussed to death many times but I don't reckon it's half as bad as a lot of people say. I can even live with the non locking drivers which work ok for me eg. the phillips driver has a decent reach and is quite useable due to it's offset design. The handles do flex but who cares, and then theres the scissors which are great.
The PSTII is a step up from the original PST with the scissors, diamond file and hard wire notch, which makes it very useful. I feel pretty comfortable carrying this one here in the UK.

I have at some point in time owned a PST, a Mini & a Sideclip - of those my favourite is the PST (mine is a very late model one, so has the whiz bang plier head, and the better phillips driver)

I'd like to get a turn with a Supertool, PST II and Old Wave to see how they go.

I suppose technically the Charge TI is retired - I'll have one of those too 8)

The Supertool is meaner than a pissed off rattlesnake, watch it doese'nt bite ya  :D  It's one of a kind, but those lock releases... watch your fingers on the serrated blade and the clumping doese'nt help either! You can tell regular STool users by the scars on their fingers  :o

Nomad the old wave is a wicked cool piece. I allways liked it better than the new wave. However the new wave is kinda looking better to me.

The Pulse seems like a nice piece... Especially for its size and weight. I've never handled one though...

Can someone do some side-by-sides of either a Pulse and a Blast or a Pulse and a Wave?

You're right that the Supertool can bite the unwary but it's not all that bad, I can't remember ever taking lumps out of myself.  I ended up using the clumping to my advantage. For example; by pulling up the serrated blade it also lifted the Phillips giving easy access.  I would like to get my hands on a PST II, it's just the right side of nuts.   :D

You can do that on the LM site to compare tools/specs/etc
Why do I carry a 45 ?
Because they don't make a 46 !

With Pulse being a retired tool, that would require quite some tinkering... Plus, a side-by-side photo is always better imo. :)

My old Wave has been like a faithful golden retriever for almost 10 years but I have to say I saw the light with the locking tools in the newWave and the Vic thing (won´t say Spirit here), I miss the scissors in my old Wave though...

The original Wave has had its detractors, and I've ragged on its lack of an awl and the flexing handles, but man has that tool been a faithful companion for me! It's compact enough to slip into your pocket for areas where knives are verboten and has awesome scissors and file. Not perfect, but a winner for my urban every day carry.

The Supertool has to be my runner up. Simple, big and tough, what more can you ask?

Nice pics Mat.

Gafftapegreenia - the Pulse is basically the same chassis as the PST, PST II, Flair etc if that helps. The lock levers that you can see in Mat's pictures protrude slightly, but it's basically just a PST II with locks.
I used to come here a lot.

The Pulse is a very fine tool  If you like the PST or PST II then you almost need a Pulse :D

Thanks for the pics dude. The best thing I like in the Pulse is that AFAIK it's the lightest full-size locking LM MT. It doesn't show up in the pics, but it's obvious up in the weight charts...
