Types of Pliers

One of the most versatile tools, the humble pliers come in many shapes and sizes for numerous jobs, both general and specialized.
I put together a basic chart showing some of the more common types. Not exhaustive, but a good overview of these pinchy things.
Now how representative is your collection?

Here is an assortment of pliers that I have at home and at work:
Many of my pliers have characteristics from more than one category.
Of course, after setting up the photo and then putting the pliers away, I realized that I forgit to include the 125 mm Cobra that I carry in my pocket

From the "small and clean" workarea. A few semi-odd ones there.

The Knipex Twin Grip Slip Joint pliers are great! I like the length and adjustability, and you can get a strong grip and leverage.

I'll try to come up with some good reason to justify why I need one then!
Luckily, I'm easy to convince.

Great thread, well done! I need a few more of those, but so far have managed to do without them.

Confucius once said, "It does not matter how slowly you collect so long as you do not stop."
