Leatherman Plier Head...Help Please
on: April 26, 2023, 01:19:47 AM
Hello fellow modders. I'm working on my Charge Ti, replacing the pliers head. I knew in would be a PITA I got on screw set in. I can't get the other pivot in I have the bottom end loose but can't get it to work. Any tips on lining up the plier and pivot holes?

Fold the handle out and see if it will line up a bit better :tu: also pull yhe pliers apart some and see if that does it :salute:

Sometimes they are easy and sometimes not :ahhh

Hope that helped :tu:

Or, press handles against each other, as the fork that contains the blades' locks also pushes against the pliers head. Also, see if you can get a drift/punch as the same diameter as the chicago screw's female end, and use it to align the handle and pliers holes. Good luck!

Thanks Poncho. What do you mean by folding the handles out?

I'll try to get a picture later but it's the same charge that I modded a few years ago replacing the flat head driver with the awl.
