Carrying the trusty Compact today posing with its most used tool of the day. The combo tool is surprisingly useful and enough for 99.9 % of my everyday prying and screwdriving needs.

I've tried to fall in love with the Sportsman lately, but whenever I have a full opener layer in my pocket, I realize that the Combo tool would have done the job as well and that I'd rather have scissors in a two layer knife.

I've been doing an Alox challenge so I'll have an Alox as a companion for the rest of the month.  Most of the time a Super Tinker is my daily carry.

Carrying the Soldier today along with its companion the Signature. I can't go without scissors, tweezers, a pen and a nailfile. That's why I always have a 58mm companion in my fifth pocket when carrying an Alox model.

 :2tu:

I will say, though, that I've gotten away from feeling like I need scissors and scale tools. An Executive on a neck lanyard could always be added if I change my mind. The SAK pens and I have never really bonded.

I always carry a pen with me so I don't need the SAK pen.  That and it feels so tiny in my hand.

The tweezers I definitely use often enough that I like to carry them.  You'd think I'd learn to use gloves more often so I don't splinters or metal slivers in my hand.

Scissors, I was still on the fence about them until I rationalized that I could use them instead of the knife for cutting stuff up like address labels off a package.  Using the scissors saves the edge on my knife for bigger things.  That and I like the look on people's faces when I whip out the scissors.   :D

I don't wanna go too far off topic but I don't use the tweezers often. However I consider them an absolute necessity for me, because when you need them, you need them. I live in an area where ticks can transmit some serious diseases. So whenever I spot one on my son or myself I am glad that I can remove it immediately and don't have to look out somewhere for a pair of tweezers.

But back to topic: I almost forgot to take a picture but technically it still qualifies for 'SAK and coffee' as there is still some left  ;)  Todays carry is my BYSAK, which is in pretty good shape for a 28 year old knife!  ::)
