This water bottle sprung a leak just above the handle. Once I found the duct tape, I had the perfect opportunity.

The repair will get its real test on Wednesday. I have a medical appointment that requires me to fast for eight hours prior, so I'll be bringing coffee in this bottle. If it doesn't leak coffee all over my shirt, the repair will be considered successful.

Congrats on the badge. I hope it holds your coffee at least long enough to get you through your appointment.

I have used duct tape to fix buckets with splits. They will hold water for weeks. Black electrical tape works even better. Works best with the slick side facing the water and glue side dry. Best wishes. G

Thanks! Provided I can stay awake, I'll manage without coffee for a while. I'm just glad they didn't tell me to lay off the nicotine for eight hours prior.

No need to throw out a split bucket anymore. Thanks for the tip!
