What's you reasoning behind that? I would think the serrated model is better, as it's better to have a serrated gutting blade for cutting ropes, gutting animals!, and emergency tasks..

I still can't believe you don't like serrations! They have tremendous cutting power and they hold an edge! They might be a little harder to sharpen, but my Sharpmaker works flawlessly!

I am sure they excel at that but I don't cut much rope :-\ and since i don't carry one much the chances I will have one are slim in an emergency

Wait I carry a Super Tool and it has a Serrated Blade but I forget it has one because I never really use it ::)

I'm not a seration person either.  If it were me I'd leave the gutting blade with a "toothy" edge, no extra fine stones, no stropping etc.  That way you don't have a blade that will slide so much on the more fibrous stuff.
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

That's thje version I've got mate, and it's way more useful that the serrated model imo :tu:

I know you don't like serrations (yawn!!!  :D ) but how can you possibly say that is "way more useful"?  With the PE gutting blade you have blade edge duplication.  With the serrated you are offered a completely different blade option.

I have the serrated Cliosguy and it's a great option IMO.  I EDC it as it fits nicely in my EDC and having that serrated blade maximises it's usefulness.  It would act as a great UK legal rescue blade as well.

As much as I love sak's, there edge retention is not the stuff of legend, so I'd much rather have a seconf PE blade, for when the primary one get's dull :)

Bearing in mind I sometimes have to sharpen a knife twice at work! The extra PE blade is far more appreciated :)
