First off, welcome back to the only forum that matters, we apologize profusely for the outage and any inconvenience it may have caused any of you.

I won't bore you all with the details, largely because I am too stupid to know them all, and I'd hate for the smart guys out there to correct me and make me look even dumber than I am.

In short, we were supposed to have a seamless change to a newer, faster, better server, with no noticeable downtime whatsoever.

Unfortunately, on our way to the new server we encountered the perfect storm of emails not being forwarded, email accounts that no longer exist and heightened security measures due to the folks at GoDaddy figuring somehow that we are a high value site- so high value that they wouldn't even let us access it.   :facepalm:

Micah has it all sorted out now- he was up all night wrestling with it and trying to get Multitool.org, SAKWiki and so on all sorted out for all of us.  Once again, we owe that man a HUGE debt of gratitude, so please take a moment out of your day to let him know how much you appreciate him.  I'm not just saying this because he's my oldest and best friend, I mean he actually does deserve everything we can give him.  It's no exaggeration to say that this site would have ended many times over the years if it weren't for his fanatical devotion to keeping us running.

That having been said, we are back and things all appear to be running now.  Please be sure to post any issues you see and we will see what we can do to get them sorted out as time permits.

In the meantime, WE ARE BACK!!!

I was wondering if there was a round 2 of the cloud strike outage. Certainly MTO is a high value target for hackers.

It was definitely unpleasant for all of us, and not something we are looking to do again soon!   :ahhh

But with the new server and some unknown issues with GoDaddy sorted out, we hopefully won't have to worry about it again, at least for a little while!
