I know what you mean, though BYSAKs have cost me more for tidy red scaled M61s and a Black Beauty is just a distant pipe dream!

Isn't that quite a bit cheaper then previous Damscus LEs - Or is my memory failing me?

Seems a bit more reasonable than usual

PS. Thanks for the updates everyone and for the great pic Rizio
The 2016 Damasteel pioneer x was only $185 IIRC- I know inflation... but I see the base model being worth $50-$60 and it’s hard to stomach $200 for a damascus blade.

Yay, my FX Damast has arrived! The pattern on the blade is very similar to the 2016, as you can see from my “collection” - hopefully others will show a more extensive range!

I did!   I'll have to get it together will my other Alox Damask LE's for a family photo, though.

Edit to add pics.  I love the color, and in the sunshine you can see a lovely depth to the chocolatey brown.

Nice group! :tu: Generally speaking, I'm not the biggest fan of things brown, but that shade looks pretty good.

@Myron - Wow the coveted 2010 - Great collection and piccies - Thanks

But where's the Hunter Pro? Or are we only talking 93mm Aox Damasci (Damascuses?  )

Thanks guys!

@Huntsman, yes, I decided a long time ago it would be too difficult and expensive to go back and collect all the Damascus LE's.  So for me it's just Alox and just Pioneers (and Pioneer variants).

As you can see, my 2010 is a user/carrier.  It was one knife in a lot of several SAKs that I bought.  I believe only 50 of this run of 2,010 knives were allotted to the US, so it's quite rare.  I don't use or carry it, but its original owner obviously did.

I think it's great that the 2010 has been used - A used Alox looks good -
For me SAKs are users - Maybe even the ones you collect ....
I have a few older SAKs that are in pretty good nick - But have clearly been used - And I like that!
But I guess it lessens the value quite a lot! As I guess many collectors will want NIB

I do sometimes wonder what is the point of my Damasci (I have a couple) - Sitting unused in their boxes and a cupboard :o !!
But I am pretty sure I could not bring myself to use them regularly

I did EDC my 2011 one day and was scared stiff of loosing or damaging it - So I guess I am a hypocrite or at best confused !!    :pok:     ;)

Huntsman, good point about the hunter pro, I should have said all three 93s! I do use my 2016, but tasks usually only include post opening and bottle opening, and the FX is doing the latter activity right now, Old Peculier whilst watching some Olympic action!

I had no idea the 2010 were that limited. I guess there goes any chance I’ll catch one for a reasonable price.

Very nice photos, that used 2010 looks rad, hard to believe someone worked it that hard. I carry my 2016 occasionally but it’s pretty much a safe Queen due to the collector value.

As a matter of fact, a 2010 that had been used and carried just went for $861.   No box either.
