Victorinox 2025 news?
on: September 03, 2024, 03:41:39 PM
Just found out these 2 interesting videos.
In the first one some guy complain about lack of innovation from Victorinox.

Victorinox actually invited the guy in their factory!  :o

And now the feedback from that guy with upcoming news (bladeless SAK like mentioned before on the forum but also potential novel steel option!  )

Enjoy!

Victorinox IS listening to the community, this is a great company!
If you don't have the right equipment for the job, you just have to make it yourself.

I just though about the same thing like yesterday. I would love to see some totally new products.

It would be great if they made a similar product like the past Leatherman Juice, a small two handled tool with bigger pliers. ...with the impeccable Victorinox quality! ❤️

Totally agree! I'm dreaming of something in between the LM Squirt and LM Juice, with tool locks.

I’m hoping for some user serviceable models with torx pivots. Also hoping they will start putting both openers opposite an inline phillips as an option. Both are a long shot.

I wonder about how user serviceable a torx construction really is.  Maybe for 1-2 layers, but beyond that, a SAK can be a bear to assemble without a jig, at least in my experience.

That's true, but I will be excited to see some torx construction models. Imagine the possibilities for repair, deep cleaning, and modifications!

From my, the TORX CONSTRUCTED models will be more expensive.  As the videos explained. Any models that require human hands to be part of the build the price increases.
The biggest change I can see Victorinox making is offering modern steel offerings for the main blade.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Personally, if Vic would open a custom shop that would allow you to pick the tools you want, have a couple different steel options for the main blade, some different scale options, and choose key ring attachment or no key ring attachment, I wouldn’t much care if they were held together with screws or the traditional pins.
