Squirt PS4 replacement spring

Hello all,

As an intro, I'm new to the forum and truly amazed by the enormous amount of knowledge here. Thank you for sharing!

I own some Leathermans and Victorinoxes in various forms and shapes.

Among those a Squirt PS4 with Torx screws, slightly modded to fullfill my daily requirements.

Now, as with many of us, the spring on the scissors has broken. I'm not sending it back to Leatherman as they will replace it with one without Torx and I will loose my modds.

Now, I learned on this forum that some of you, or at least Tattoosteve, have been able to make a new spring themselves and even provided that to others.

Is there anybody please that can point me to a source for such replacement spring? I would highly appreciate that.

Can't help you with the spring but welcome to the forum.        Hopefully someone will be along soon that can help you

Maybe someone already has the part you need, you can ask in the "tools needed" forum. Otherwise my suggestion would be to get a used/broken Squirt and scavenge it for the spring.

That metal piece was from a binder clip. They are springy enough and retains it's shape well.

How did you managed to attach a binder clip for the scissor thing? Can you upload more pictures about the scissor spring since I have the same problem?
