I was "lucky" to get glasses so early that I never experienced the getting used to -phase. They're just there, period. For martial arts or diving into a lake I used to just leave them somewhere near. Never actually lost a pair, but I've had to retrieve them from the bottom of swimming pools many times...

I just buy mine from like Zenni Optical. Why pay 400$ just to break them, or mess them up working in the Garage.

I just hate you need glasses to see, but you spend most of the time, with dirty glasses as they never stay clean.

I need to check with my new optometrist about getting the prescription and then getting a pair through Zenni. My old "cheap" pair from Walmart broke, and my Morels are way too expensive to use as beaters.

It was a headache getting my old one to send me my prescription when I first discovered Zenni was a thing--even when I told him they were safety glasses (something he didn't sell).  Even during the pandemic, he would only give you the prescription in-person and would not email it. The guy retired a couple years ago. I tried Walmart--and didn't like the guy.   Went with a new one in the next town over that I quite like--AND they take my insurance something the old guy didn't do.

In addition, when he finally gave me my prescription, it was about half complete.

I just paid for an eye exam to get my RX. Glasses are nothing special and do help. Was only 56$ CAD for the pair.

Now I cannot get progressives thru zenni. Would help with shooting. Since I mostly look out thru the top portion of the lens. Where I thought contacts would excell. But caused more irritation getting them out. Still got over 200 pairs.

Also know as Gomez.
