St---d politicians Now I'm not saying I agree, but it's all to do with the speed of the deployment. A OH blade can be opened faster and can therefore be used as a weapon a lot quicker.

Can you open the blades when the pliers are deployed? Thanks
Quote from: Leatherman123 on August 22, 2009, 05:36:25 AMCan you open the blades when the pliers are deployed? ThanksExcellent question my good fellow! I had to check:(Image removed from quote.)The answer is no, due to the little hole Leatherman added on the back of the blade to engage the safety clip.
Thread resurrection:Hey Allan, do your various two-hand Leathermans have the "2H" marking on them?

It originated in Denmark, then came to me by way of Norway.
How much would one of those cost me?

Kind've defeats the whole purpose of this particular design...me thinks.
0808 in both handles. (in addition to having the "new" style plier rest tabs) How about yours?
(Image removed from quote.)
Anyone else see 0807 in that top handle?
I'm waiting for the 3H special collector's edition.
Ah, perhaps I should have explained: The top one is a Wave from 2007 with the "old" plier rest tab. Kwakster tells us this little tab was his single biggest warranty issue on Waves and Charges. The bottom one from 2008 has the "new" plier rest tab, which is made from the thicker material of the safety clip. It should be less prone to breaking.
