Did Victorinox add 4th pin to the Recruit?

Did Victorinox add 4th pin to the Recruit?

I've seen a few pics online of the recruit that shows an exposed pin inside the knife.  Older recruits don't have this, only using 3 pins like a Cadet or Pioneer.

I wonder if they've added the 4th pin to allow the scales to snap in 3 spots so they don't bow out from the liners like the old ones tend to do?

The Recruit was initially constructed with only three rivets, whereas most models have four. This characteristic is due to the fact that there are no backside tools, making the extra rivet not required. However, recently Victorinox have standardised on four rivets - even for no-back-tool models.
