Marlboro Unlimited info wanted
on: May 06, 2025, 09:30:08 AM
I managed to pick up this Outdoorsman model today and it reminded me of something I’ve tried to find in the past.

Does anyone know if a copy of the 90s Marlboro Unlimited catalog has been posted anywhere?

This is the second Marlboro knife I've had. Up until recently I had a TrailGuide. I gifted that to someone so that model resides back on my want list.
I know there’s a number of SAKs that were available with that points program along with other items.
I think that catalog page would be a great addition to the SAKWiki page.

The Outdoorsman wasn’t a knife on my radar but it’s actually kind of nice with it’s 6 layers that feels kind of like 5. It really doesn’t feel too big to carry for me.
This is in pretty good shape but it’s in need of a good bath. It kind of looks like 20 year old drywall dust has worked its way into every corner.

I don't have a copy of that catalog, but I do agree that it would make a good addition to the Wiki. And the Outdoorsman looks pretty nice. Six layers that feel more like five is a pretty apt description, methinks.

If I pay five figures for something, it better have wings or a foundation!

I found a copy of the 1996 catalog brochure.
The Troubleshooter, Outdoorsman and TrailGuide can be seen on it.
It’s not very high detail but it’s a start.
There are a couple on eBay but they’d probably cost me more than the knife did to get it across the boarder.
The source is noted on the image.

I had a Marlboro Outdoorsman for awhile.  I liked the knife, but it was virtually new in box, so I sold it to someone looking for one.  It's closest relative that I can think of is the Woodsman.   I had some Marlboro gear back in the early 90s, and it was actually very good stuff.

I’ve never come across anything other than the two knives. I’ll bet there’s a bunch of people that collect all things Marlboro.

I have all three.  The  Outdoorsman and Troubleshooter have Marlboro boxes, but the Trail Guide has an era Vic box.
