Flissa 16 in 1 Multi-tool.
on: June 02, 2024, 03:13:06 PM
You know Leatherman is popular when everyone aims to copy them. Here is another offering from Great Star under one of their sub holdings. This Wave clone has a few things going for it. The Leatherman style sheath is well made, and I always liked that type of closure system. The bit driver is not flat like the Leathermans. Last but not least, I am a sucker for silver on black. That makes the ruler markings pop out. Unfortunately for the rest of this tool, they copies Leaterman very closely. I don't think I need to state that this isn't as good as a Leatherman...but I just said it in case someone tought it might. Oh and of course the price is very nice undercutting Leatherman by a large amount. That is another issue I have with Leatherman...their increasing price. Hard to find anything that doesn't cost around 200 Canadian these days. So once again, the Flissa is very ok for its price point.

Included with the instructions was this Great Star pamphlet showcasing just a few of their sub companies.

Silver on black is very eye catching and easy to see.

The Flissa 16 in 1 Multi-tool is another Wave clone with sexy markings and a nice sheath.

I have this same model but in the stainless finish.  Its a good MT for the price.  These knockoffs are fun to collect and use, as the Leatherman price structure has gotten out of hand.

I found this thread being sure it's about the MT I was going to get, but nope, so I'll just add this info, maybe someone will find it useful.

But first thanks the OP for the original review! :2tu:

Flissa 16-in-1 is also the 'name' of the MT with the ref F021035AU and F021036AU (if I decoded the box/leaflet correctly):

Not really much to say about it. It was on sale for ~€11 so I grabbed it, but when it arrived I figured the quality was a bit lacking. I mean, at that price, sure you can use it as a beater but no such need for me. The only good thing about it I'd say is the ergonomics of the pliers, not far from my Vic Spirit and better than all the LMs I own. But. Some of the tools were difficult to deploy, both because of poorly executed nail nicks or 'hooks' and high friction factor; the locking was mushy and all of them had play. The wire cutters were the worst I dealt with so far, they did the job but barely. So, there, that's it.

Oh, and sorry for blatantly copying the arrangement from the OP's pics. But not really sorry. :D
