Latest additions to my collection.
on: November 13, 2025, 10:43:03 PM
Even with my current limited mobility, I still manage to get out and about. Here are my latest additions to my collection. Yes still not out of the woods yet in regards to my legs, but they are mending.  :tu:

1. Winchester Limited Edition 2008 Knife Set.  I  liked the outdoor theme on this set, despite it being Winchester.

2. Gerber Bear Grylls Ultimate Multi-tool. It was cheap and in remarkably good condition for a pawn shop find.

3. SOG Tellus Multi-tool. I found this online. What attracted me to this one is the interestingly shaped pliers. This is a new one for me as I haven't been all that active in these forums.

4. Nextool Silver Blade  EDC Multi-tool. Another new design that I was previously unaware about. Reminds me of those SOG belt multi-tools in design.

Me, too! A local pawn shop had some or other Gerber on offer for the princely sum of $5. Since I have store credit there, I'm contemplating a return.

You can never go wrong for 5 dollars.

I am thinking of EDCing the Ultimate for a run.

I like the SOG, it's quite unusual. It has some kind of retro look about it.

Awlso the NexTool. Love that little pouch, pretty nice to carry it around without scratching it (or scratch other stuff).

Thanks for sharing and I hope you keep getting better soon!

  :tu:

Working hard at getting better. I am incentivized, as I have been off work since mid September...and for someone who does not like taking a single day off, not being able to work is far harder than the medical condition itself!

Dan, what are you're thoughts on the Tellus? They're at a decent price here in the UK, but I've no way to get a hands on look at one. How does it compare to say a PPP in terms of durability do you think?

I have not had the chance of using yet as I just got it in. It feels good in the hand. I love the angle of the pliers, and that they open nice and wide. Designed as a camping tool to pull up tent pegs, but I am sold on the ergonomics. Half the tools are easy access without opening up the tool. Huge ferro steel included and is protected in its own pocket area. This could be one of my more favorite designs in recent times.

Thanks for sharing Chako. Your pic of the SOG looks better than most of the ones I have seen elsewhere. I hope your recovery progresses well and you are back to work soon.
