A little February GAW

Hello good people.
I do not post much but prefer to lurk in the shadows and observe.
Anyway I was on a bit of world tour and passed through Zurich airport.
Follwing the usual baggage check and security with no sharp pointy things  allowed and some people who look like they ate lemons for breakfast I was set free
into the obligatory overpriced "duty free" section.
There I found a store that provided I was only going on one flight I could be as many sharp pointy things as I wanted.
Victorinox have a whole store in duty free selling anything they can.
THere is not so good pic of  the store front ( the police were closing the store next door for some reason and I did not want to look like I was taking pics of them.)
There is a pic of the selection of Victorinox gear for sale ,again not the best due to lighting and finally a pic of the wee red package I got from the store.

Inside is I think a Climber. I am not SAK man so do not know their names. This is a GAW at my expense to the winner of the usual random draw for all those who contribute to our noble cause in February.
If you happen to come from a land where they frown upon sharp pointy things I will plead ignorance and post it as something else.

So there is a little mystery surrounding this GAW -  ;) - But to summarise:
 
The GAW prize is what is in the red bag - It was definitely purchased in Switzerland at Zurich airport and we think it is a brand new Climber.

I do not know much about SAK variants and there  is nothing on the packaging to tell me.
I have taken it out of the box and here is a picture.
Definitely from the duty free shop at Zurich International. I might have  reciept somewhere.
Definitely going to a contributer at month end.

Its either Spartan or Tinker depending which tool it has on back. Corckscrew for Spartan and phillips for Tinker

I know there is a way to tell from an image .... but I always forget it   :pok:

Plus no evidence of back tools -

The Recruit is a nice little number due to the absence of back tools and therefore smooth backside
And I guess barely noticeable in the pocket

It arrived!

Although I have owned off brand SAKs since I was a kid, and I have 5 or 6 real ones that I bought used, THIS is actually the very first brand new Victorinox SAK that I have ever owned.
I guess I did buy a big Ranger Grip knife at one point (which I love) but it is so big that it feels like a different thing, if that makes sense.

I am very happy to get the knife, The stickers and the pin are also great.  I'm probably going to put one on a cooler and another on a range box.
