The pocket clip could be done better.

The wiggly pocket clip is the trade off for having it removable/swappable in seconds.  I would prefer that it didn't wiggle too, but it does not negatively affect functionality.  I'm guilty of complaining about the wiggle a couple times, but it's a silly nitpick that only multitool nerds like us care about.

I got a couple of aftermarket Surge clips off of Amazon that fit perfectly and look great. I have no clue as to why LM can’t fix the issue.

I think it cause that pocket clip is universal to fit Charge/Wave/Surge and now Alpha. I have no play with pocket clip on my TTi+ while on my Wave its minimal and on Surge its quite significant but still it does it Job

I think custom scales with screws to mount a different pocket clip would be popular.

The arc clip has a lot less wiggle and in general it feels very premium

The ARC clip doesn't have any wiggle at all, they are two completely different types of mounts: the ARC with two screws and the Alpha with a slide and click mount.

You could very easily incorporate screw mounts on custom scales to allow for the arc clip to be mounted onto them

Wonder why Leatherman uses a stainless steel saw instead of a black one on the Alpha?
A black version with orange scales will be the perfect Alpha for me!
Enjoy!

Makes no sense to me since the wave+ gets a black saw instead of stainless steel

Who in the world would buy an Alpha (which itself has a high price tag) and then buy custom scales to install ARC pocket clip?

I actually know a friend that asked me for help making a 3D model with screw holes for an ARC clip became the normal clip wiggled too much. I had him try out a third party clip off amazon and that was tighter so I didnt get a chance to finish the modded scales, but it definitely would be psossible

Perhaps that's why Leatherman sells a pocket clip for the Alpha separately, to give users the option to buy a pocket clip for the ARC and order some custom scales (quality and price unknown) and install them on the Alpha.

Do the scissors fail?  He said in the video that  " . . . these scissors cut most of what I threw at it . . .  ."  That's a pretty good testimony.

Same with mine.  They are pretty darn good.  I prefer Victorinox scissors for fine, detailed work like skin boo boos, but the Alpha scissors are really big and do a fine job on most things.  I have been carrying one of my Alphas recently, and use the scissors daily.

Yes, but he also said: "it had a really hard time cutting the fabric."
