EOD models sturdier?
on: May 25, 2010, 11:02:25 PM
I've thought about this for a while and I realized that you all would probably be able to give me a bit more perspective on this: I have two Powerlocks (both original... not 2.0). One is just the regular model, the other is BO EOD (so many acronyms!). You all know SOG is my favorite company, and they are both excellent tools in my opinion, but the EOD model just seems to be a lot sturdier to me... I never use that blast cap crimper or whatever it is... But is that what makes the pliers seem sturdier? I suppose sturdy is vague, but that's the best way I can describe it.

Or is it just a bolt thing? If I tighten the bolts on the regular Powerlock, will it feel as sturdy?

What are y'all's thoughts?

1.0 version came with new plier head for some time before the handles were switched to 2.0, is that what you are seeing?

Nope. Same head. I've had both for a while.
