http://www.zweibrueder.com/ENG/produkte/html_classicline/html_arbeitslampen/v12.php?id=v12 I'm considering getting one of these as I want a flashlight than uses N batteries. Does anyone here have any experience with this brand?

No direct experience a lot of my colleagues use them and I have had a shot now and again .They appear very well made and I have never heard any complaints about them from the owners the runtime given by the makers is until every last drop of juice is gone useable light time will be a lot shorter
Hope this helps

I have this one http://www.zweibrueder.com/ENG/produkte/html_classicline/html_profilampen/vquadrat.php?id=vquadrat

It's a great flashlight and well made.  Lowes hardware store carries this brand in my part of the US.

I've had mine for over two years with no quality issues.

If you don't get enough information here, a good place for information might be CandlePowerForums:

 If it's good, does it matter where it's from?

Quality is quality no matter where it comes from. There was a time early in the Industrial Revolution when Europe looked down on US made goods as cheap copycat knock-offs.I can't help but recall how Western navies in the '20s and '30s looked down on the Imperial Japanese Navy,as inferior and it's ship construction as somewhat second rate.December 1941 revised that opinion.

Doesn't really matter where it comes from for me...

Lot of great stuff comes from China like Fenix, Nitecore and even Maxpedition which is from Taiwan

I agree, China is very capable of making quality products.. I understand that you want to support American manufacturing; but you really need to consider the fact the China can make quality products.. I bet one could find at least 100 things in your house that were made in China!

There was a time early in the Industrial Revolution when Europe looked down on US made goods as cheap copycat knock-offs.

I would never have brought this up if an American hadn't first, and I don't believe it generally to be the case myself I hasten to add, but this view is still commonly held in Europe. I think it's maybe just a nationalistic thing where everyone thinks their country makes the best stuff. One things for sure, they can't all be right :D

In the UK, we are very used to imported goods, and for the last 30 years or more our "speciality industry" has been finance, but away from tools that we discuss on here, I can't think of many US manufactured products that would be considered market leaders over here.

I exclude the food / drink brands like McDonalds and Coca cola, but things like electrical equipment, cars etc where you might expect the US giants to be dominant, we don't seem to have.

I guess what I'm trying to say in a roundabout way, is that "Made in the USA" would not generally be considered to guarantee better quality, here in the UK.

I used to come here a lot.

I know China can make good products(I once owned a Nitecore, I didn't buy it it was given to me as a gift)but the majority of their stuff is crap. I would rather spend my money to help keep jobs in the North America and Europe than to help the economy of Capitalist China.
