Now you need to scale a fish
I know I must be in the minority with my inexperience with the can opener. But having joined this group, I committed myself to using every tool in my SAK. It's amazing how useful things are when one is aware of the tool chest in their pocket/on belt!

It's amazing how useful things are when one is aware of the tool chest in their pocket/on belt!Thats a great way to look at it. Its good to familiarize yourself with each tool. I have a easier time with VIC can openers vs Wenger. I think mostly because I use VIC more.
I'm not a fan of the regular can opener. I'll go as far as saying that I hate using it. I far prefer a combo tool which works backwards and combines two functions in the same tool.

Everyone is different.

I try to out now to work as often as I can, but there's getting to be more and more pull tab cans out there....they're taking all the fun away!!

But still plenty of non pull tab ones... You have to look for them. And you can use the hook on the pull tabs.
Quote from: theonew on August 14, 2017, 07:28:37 AMNow you need to scale a fish True! But I wouldn't use the SAK scaler for that. Instead, I use it for measuring things in the field, when I photo document. That's got to count for something!
