I just returned from a vacation overseas. One thing I use zip ties for is to secure zippers on checked bags. Light weight and small and provides a little added security to checked baggage keeping the zippers closed and making it a little more difficult for someone wanting to steal something or stick something in a bag for shipping since it takes time to mess with it.  Airport security can cut them if they need to do an inspection and while not fill proof, I figure it helps a little. I also know if someone has been in my bag of the are cut or missing.

Anyone else do something similar?
