I have a Rambler, and in general, I like it, but I read this thread, and had some serious doubts. So, then I tried the little phillips on a full size phillips screw in a door hinge. It's better than most cheap full size MTs. I'm impressed. I don't think it'd handle heavy tasks, but it's good to know it'll do light-weight full-size tasks.

i doubted it too until i tried, expecting it to only be good on screws say the size of those that hold together a laptop.

but it actually works surprisingly well on a variety of sizes.

Some major thread necro, but wanted to give a shoutout to my key chain Rambler.

It got more use during the days I was at camp than I thought it would.

I used the toothpick for its designed purpose.

The scissors came in handy for dealing with my son’s repeated hangnails and broken fingernails.

The combo tool’s Phillips helped replace the batteries in one of the kid’s night lights.  It also tightened the screws on several bathroom door locks.  I thought it might be too big for these #2 Phillips screws, but it handled them fine.

Still an amazingly useful tool.  You can improvise around a lot of stuff but that small Phillips head is a tough one (especially without stuffing up the screw head).
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

I've turned at least one screw that was in such a tight spot that a 58mm combo tool was the only thing that could get it out. That tool has really proven its worth. Someday I'll find out how well it lifts caps.

The 58mm Phillips combo tool is great… and it’s magnetic! It’s one of the best tools they’ve made for the 58mm line, IMHO.

And the Rambler is my favorite platform for it. It’s like a mini Super Tinker. If I lost mine today, I would be buying another one ASAP.

I have to put in a good word for the "Midnight Manager" which is a Rambler that has a useable LED flashlight and a pretty workable retractable inkpen cartridge too.
