Tactical tomahawk choices,help needed?

Ok I have short listed 3 a cold steel,condor and Sog fusion my heart is saying go for the Sog my wallet says go for the cold steel Vietnam and I threw in the condor as it's one piece construction,which would you choose? and why? thanks in advance.

BTW it will be used mainly on camping trips,but it must also be able to turn its hand to whatever task you ask of it i.e when a crisis arises and you need a tool for rescue that sorta thing.

Not a Tomahawk, but a lot more useful in my opinion would be a Gransfor Bruks mate

The Vietnam Hawk is quite well thought off

, but there was a problem with the SOG's, but I can't remember what

No idea about the Condor I'm afraid $:-\$

Interestingly I looked on heinnies and found this about the sog: A versatile tool for various needs. The 420 stainless steel head with Hardcased coating is mounted to the fiberglass reinforced nylon handle with heavy-duty bolts and a steel ferrule to keep the wood from splitting.

Maybe that's where the problem lies in that it's a three piece axe consisting of steel,nylon and wood

That, and who really want's to pay that money for 420 SS $:-\$

Like Kwackster stated, American Tomahawk are the best in the business, but they are a bit pricy $:-\$

But are you sure a Tomahawks what you want though mate, there fairly naff at splitting wood, and other camp style tasks, wouldn't a dedicated axe/hatchet serve your need's better

Like Micky D said, hawks aren't the best at camp chores and I wouldn't want to pack something that won't be useful. Any real axe/hatchet will be useful in emergency situations in addition to camp chores which is probably 99.99% of what you'll be using it for anyhow. So, get a real axe/hatchet, paint it black and call it "tactical".

I have to agree with you the thing is ugly useful but the join of the handle and head looks weak.
