I think I had underestimated this whole ebay.co.uk ban thing... I just went on ebay.co.uk and did a general search for 'knife'. I could only find cases, sharpeners, and silver-plated butter knives... I just don't get it. Are, say, kitchen knives illegal to buy and use (not EDC) in the UK? If it's UK-based sellers selling totally legal goods to fellow UK buyers, what's the difference between that and going to a cutlery/household store? Actually, in the second case you also get to carry them from the shop back home. How are you supposed to prepare your meal? Are they trying to turn you into a whole nation of spam eaters? Could Mike be behind this all? More on this in our 20:00 news...

Ebay have pretty much banned all knives, legal or otherwise. The law doesn't say SAKs can't be sold and carried for example, but they just went totally over the top about it to cover their arses I guess.

I can easily walk in to a local store and buy tools which I can't even carry without good reason - this ban just means we can't get the bargains and rarities that come up any more. It sucks

Why would they?  Who would want ebay to sell nasty scary things with sharp edges.  Though apparently axes and saws are fine.     I live in a country of mindless sheep and smurfing numb skulls
