Camo tools have arrived
on: July 27, 2009, 03:18:57 AM
Well here they are. I am happy but a little disappointed all in one. I like the pattern ( prefer Advantage Max 4) but this is good. The biggest concern I have with them is you can see that the film did not wrap around the handles when they were dipped. Also you can see that underneath the clips did not get coated. I will say in the future I will remove all the tools and the clips and just send the handles if I want them dipped.

I am really happy with the Wave though it turned out nice. I just need to take it apart and touch up a couple areas that have coating on them.

The modified PST II I believe will need to have the clip removed and maybe touched up with some OD green

I'd say the look fairly decent!

Those tools are just waiting to get lost in the woods! :D
Very nice camo, how long will it last in normal use?

I think it worked out really well.  I'd agree that it might have been better to have it under the pocket clips though.  If you can get some OD under there I reckon it'll look perfect.  :tu:

I am not sure but I know on a gun it last almost forever. I am carrying the modified PST II now and only see minor wear at the points where the handles come in contact with each other when opening. I anticipated that and to be honest you cant tell unless you know to look for it.

Excluding the area under the clip and I'd say you have had a good result there.  :)

Like it's been said, a bit of a touch up under that clip and I think it'll look good.  :tu:

Yeah,  I think they look good as well :tu:  The Wave especially.

Pity about the area under the clip.  You should be able to get it looking much better with some minor OD application though :)

So far quite durable I have dropped it a few times on the pavement and no chips or scratches. I have been carrying the PST II since Friday with no wear.
