Might not be technically ideal for a purist, but likely fine for most of us in most applications.

3 in 1 reminds me of my fathers shed and oiling the lawn mower. not sure that I could carry a knife all day smelling like that

I've never had a problem with using it.

I'm sure 3 in 1 will be fine to use, just not too good in a food situation if that arises.

I think Victorinox say 3 in 1 on their leaflet, but I got a load of Miltec 1 (enough to last a lifetime) so I use it on knives and mutis.
