Ian, you probably have a point about the use of space...  I only have 500ml bottles in there but that of course could change according to need.

Dave, pm incoming cheers.

I added a 5 x 7 x 2 Horizontal Pouch to the Vulture today, which is perfectly sized for the first aid kit I take when walking. That's pretty much all of the kit I routinely take stored in pockets and pouches now, so I'm going to have to find stuff to put in the main compartments  :P

I also got a packet of Grimlocks, which seem cool but I haven't found anything to hang on them yet, and some of the Tacties. They don't seem to be as solid as the Malice clips, but they are certainly easier to attach and detach, and are billed as totally reusable, so I'll be giving them a go I think.

I used to come here a lot.

Just agreed on a Pygmy Falcon II and two rolly pollys in trade.  I think this will be Liam's Tactical Diaper bag.  The Victorinox Backpack, needs to be retired, as its taken a beating carrying all of his stuff day in and day out.  It was my first quality bag as I bought it when I graduated highschool in 2003.  Me and my sister were going to go backpacking around Montreal and I needed a decent backpack. Since then it has been my college bag, work bag, and diaper bag.  Now it deserves a rest.

:D

23 litres? You'll get a few diapers in there Zack! It is a great looking pack though - what colour did you go for?

Black for the bag and rolly polly's, and I also have a OD Collussus that should be here on Monday.  It will be the DSLR bag, or work bag depending if I ever hear from Steve about his Jumbo.

Actually, that Colossus will make a great camera bag, especially with the Molle to add pouches and such. Good choice I reckon.

Steve's Jumbo looks like a great deal - I hope it comes through for you.

Dave , Grimloks are designed to let go at 80 lbs pull , I think it's some kind of a saftey thing , so you don't get hung by your swag . Malice clips ride a lot flatter , and have a much higher breaking strain . I'm still lookin for a bulk supply of malice clips .

Yup - that's what I understood with the Grimloks (there was a card in the packet explaining it) - it's the Tacties (clicky) that are supposed to be the Malice clip replacements.

They do work, but I'm noticing that things seem to move about a bit, whereas the Malice clip is rock-solid. Not a big deal - just an observation really.

The Grimloks are a great idea, I just haven't figured out a practical use for them. Yet :D

Congrats on the Pygmy Zack, I really like mine  :)

I think the 7x5x2 pocket will sut the front of mine too - that's what it's missing IMO, a smaller easy access pocket up front for little bits and bobs.

I use Grimloks to attache stuff in and to my splicing bucket when working aloft , other than that , never really found much use for em , Malice clips are a different matter , I don't mind the movement , makes sitting and laying down more comfy .

I'm giving serious thought to a black/silver grey Timbuktu messenger bag . Messenger bags are nice an nondescript nowadays . They also seem to work better in connection with public transport , trying to save a few bucks and be a bit greener an all that . I gotta admit , I'm a self confessed bag whore , trying to avoid the Taccie look , as they look to be worth stealing .

Glorn - I like the way you've attached the light - how does that work? And thanks for the patch tip  :tu:

That's a molle light from the now defunct Pentagon Co (thanks to Surefire.. who will now never see me buying anything with their name on it) and I adore it. I am inside a lot of buildings without electricity, or in buildings with no lamps, quite often due to my work. With the "man purse" in tow, I have my tools, pen, a place to clip my measuring tape, Blackberry, etc... and that little light being angle headed and clipable is just the ticket for that rig. I can walk through a place in total darkness and have both hands free.

You can still get one from Maxpedition: http://www.maxpedition.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=511&idcategory=43

It has a clip that slips into the Molle on the bag. I also attached a lanyard that you can't see in that pic and I usually clip that on the "keyper" just in case the clip fails. Or you can shove it through the molle itself, but that can make it harder to get unattached if you need it in hand.

Nice set up, but it caused me problems. People thought it was a either a marijuana pipe or an inhaler. I guess an inhaler is fine, but the pot pipe people seemed to make a big fuss.

"Dude, it's a flashlight. F*ck off."

Now I keep it in a Maxpedition single sheath attached to the side of the bag opposite the built in sheath. This works very well too, as it is easily accessable, and I can then clip it to the shoulder strap if I need a hands free light.

You got to take some pics of how the Collusses is as a DSLR bag, it looks like a greate idea and if it works out then I might do the same thing.

Got it today and can already tell I need some extra pouches. The goal is to have each lens in it's own pouch hanging from the webbing.  The camera with lens fits perfect in the main compartment sideways.  I am going to attach some velcro to the inside wall so I can use the camera hanger from my old camera bag.  That way the camera is suspended in the main compartment.  There are tons or pockets, and they easily swallow up my gear.  Lots of webbing as well, which will make it easy to add on other components later.  I know I want one for my flash and the lens I have coming in for Christmas.  That will free one main pocket where the flash is so I can keep my chargers in there..  Like I said I will post some pics soon, but this bag is amazing...I am hooked on Maxped stuff now.  Which is good, because I have at least two more bags coming in.

My HEAVY LOAD Bag is a Crumpler "NEW YORK WAREHOUSE" - That thing is just HUGE!

My light summer EDC is an UrbanTool Slotbaron - ultralightweight and tougher than expected.

My average EDC is an Oakley bag. I don´t remember the name, but it is strong, has lots of pockets and attachment points and is built like a tank.

My DSLR light EDC is Crumpler, a Jimmy Boo 500 for my Sony Alpha, flash and one lense.

My DSLR large EDC is a Crumper Muffin Top full Photo backbag. Great, fits my DSLR, lenses, flash, cables, laptop, jacket, and much more...

I really LOVE Crumpler stuff. I´d change my Oakley for a Crumpler any time. The UrbanTool thing is a keeper, there is nothing comparable by Crumpler or any other brand I know.

Oh, and my Maxpedition EDC Organizer is a bag to. It sits in my EDC bag (except for the light Urban Tool or Muffin Top setups) but is not a real EDC bag, I just have it to keep my stuff organized and together so I can change my bag faster...

No probs, I have some ready to use... just deciding what to put where and such!

It really should have some on though - that and only having one zip on the middle pocket are my only niggles :(

I told ya'll I was bored...I've been taking pics all day.  Well for a couple of hours anyway.

Here they are and by the way, if anyone knows where I could get another Eddie Bauer bag like this one or something very very similar, please let me know.

And my primary EDC bag for right now: Eddie Bauer Guide Organizer (I have no idea what it's really called but I have lots of pics)

Hi Kelly,

Do you still have the pics of your EDC bags? :D

I am thinking of getting a bag of some kind. Not necessarily EDC as my laptop bag probably covers that, but a bag I can fill with all my gear; iPods to Leathermans and of course my trusty Maxped EDC Organiser  :D

I have also enjoyed checking out everyone's pics here  :tu:
