on: November 02, 2009, 09:23:03 PM
So here I am watching the "Gadget Show' on FIVE and I've just heard that in the next section they're going to put the top 5 pocket tools up against each other in a head to head test

Anyone else watching?

I saw it! Started with 30 multis, and put them through a series of tests to get down to that top 5.

Some strange logic used, but I have 4 of the 5 tools they selected, so I can't disagree too much I guess!
I used to come here a lot.

Not too scientific, but good fun trying to spot how many of the 30 tools you own!

I used to come here a lot.

I have to agree with the Suspension for best value (cheapest) and them spring action pliers (though 3rd is too high... top 10 I could understand :D). =P

Oh, and I love how they pull out a Wenger Giant at the end. >:D
Got those frog legs.

Has anyone identified the SAK that the cameraman pulled out at the end?   liiked a bit like a climber to me

I thought maybe a Huntsman but it could be either.  It might even be a Camper but I think it looked thicker than that.

You can see her tied up in this multi video. >:Dhttp://fwd.five.tv/gadget-show/videos/challenge/challenge-wild-challenge-pt-2
Another fantasy fulfilled >:D :D

See, this is what confuses me about this video.  Is it a bad review because the Gerber didn't get her loose or a good review?  Kind of mixed signals if you think about it.

The gadget show isn't about reviews, it's entertainment, think Top Gear it uses the same formula.  I normally disagree with their results too Im not entirely sure how they get so many viewers

I was surprised to see the XAVT in there.  I consider it a show piece, not a practical tool.  My main thought after watching it though was that I need to have another play with the X-Tract.
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.
