Stargate Atlantis
on: November 17, 2009, 02:30:09 AM
I was already in bed when I saw this last night, I'll have to post screencaps later.  In the first season episode, "Hot Zone," an infected scientist tries to escape quarantine while in the city.  To do this, he has to pry open consoles and hot wire the doors.  I've probably seen this episode a dozen times, but last night I noticed what he was using to open the doors: a Leatherman Juice.

The best picture I could find online is here: http://www.stargatearchive.com/gallery/screen-caps/atlantis/season1/113/images/Hot-Zone480_jpg.jpg

You know, for them being on a mostly /water/ covered world, I'm surprised they'd bring that rust magnet. :P

No, I kid, haha.  Juices are nice little tools, if a bit more lighter-duty than I'd prefer. :/

Oh, yeah, if I were going to the Pegasus Galaxy, I'd want my Blast or PowerLock for sure.

Well, it's just me, but if I were going to another /galaxy/, I'd want a nice stock of Victorinox products to tide me over. XD

Ooh, what to take in to space

I'm quite liking SGU even with it's lack of hardcore tools. It's a little darker than most of the other SG shows and seems to have enough intrigue to keep me watching so far.

My best guess is an S2.  I'll try to get a better shot later this week.

I'm liking it a lot, Robert Carlyle (Rush) and Louis Ferreira (Young) have brought some real punch to the show.  Even better we are watching it only a couple of days behind the US showing.  I'm sorry to say that I never got into Atlantis.

BTW there is only one multi to take into space, just ask NASA. :D

I seem to remember the New WAVE being used in space at least once.

Wrong!!! Not only did the "ultimate multi-tool" get taken into space decades ago, it saved the day on the Apollo 13 mission. Of course I'm talking about that multi-tool on a roll, duck tape!!!!

here we are 8 episodes into SGU, and I'm wishing we could axe it and bring back SGA...
The difficult we do immediately, the impossible takes a little longer.
