Who holsters their lites ?
on: February 03, 2010, 09:45:22 PM
I do a lot of crawling , reclining , and climbing , therefore I dont have too much faith in most pocket clips . This is a rig I shakle to a Ti sail ring , in turn clipped to a biener . It swivels and is quickly detached . The set up has a Surefire E1B and a Vic. Electrician plus .

The flap of the holster is punched , so the lite can be swiveled and engaged without removal from the holster .

I have several nice holsters for various lights, but I rarely used them.  It seems that having a holstered Swisstool and 9mm handgun on my belt is about all I can take.  So, I usually clip a light to my LF pocket.

That reclining stuff is tough on them though, so I usually pull the torch out and put it on the table next to me when I'm doing that.  :D

The punched flap is a good idea, BTW.  How do you turn the light on when using it that way?

I use a open designed holster as you can see it takes one or two options/flashlights  :tu:

I also use these two when transporting lights in bags as it affords a little more protection  :salute:

The bottom of the holster is a tight wetmold and open , you just stick your finger in about 5/16" . I started doing that type of flau when I was on call a lot , and needed to read a pager without waking up others .

my L1D lives in a home made sheathe in my pocket. It keeps it looking new and keeps the fuzz of the lens
