I blame my excess weight on my wife's cooking - I weighed 25 pounds less back when I first met her. >:(

Wow, good job mate.  I bet you'll start noticing the difference soon if you haven't already.  Well done (and well done Mrs Hawkchuker  ;)).

keep up the good work HC but don't get despondent if your weight sticks after awhile this is quite normal,it will come off but at a reduced amount  :salute:

Fact weight reduction done over a period of time is best and it's suggested it stays off done slowly, rather than crash dieting  :tu:

Now on to my little story.....I weigh 13 st height 5' 10" my doctor suggested I needed to lose a few pounds  ok so I take this all in until I leave the surgery then!.................. it suddenly hit me the cheeky bugg** must weigh 15st himself and he only stands 5' 6" UNBELIEVABLE!

Get a doctor to tell you that you're allergic to gluten, sulphites, and, I don't know, yeast?
You'll lose weight quick smart.

You'll also probably try to kill everyone you see eating biscuits or drinking beer, but that's a small price to pay for a sleek figure.
It works for me!

I read that taking glucomannan will keep you from feeling so hungry.

the is a small amount of evidence that it can promote a feeling of satiety.  However it can also cause choking or gastrointestinal blockage if you don't drink enough water with it.
