hi just curious if any one has tried it it's on clearance at a local camping store, and i was wondering if it worth buying for 20$ the multiple battery thing could be really usful for me but just wanted to know if it's a half decent light i know it probably won't stack up to surefire, or fenix but for the price I'm willing to try

I like most Gerber light's, as there just simple, functional tool's

And for $20 I'd definitely be nabbing one

It's advertised at 12 lumens on AA or AAA, 18 lumens on CR123.  It's a fairly large light for that sort of (low) output.  I would be tempted to just buy a Fenix E01 instead.  If the ability to use multiple battery types is something that will be useful to you, then that may make it worthwhile.

It would make a good survival type light in the US I think, given it's ability to run on pretty much anything easily available

Gerber does make solid lights but, for that lumen output you can get a Fenix E01 at 10 lumens shipped free from 4Sevens at 15.00 USD. Gerber discontinues lights without showing that fact on their website for some time.

I'd take the Infinity Ultra over it anyday.  It's built tougher, has a clip, and runs on AA or AAA.  CR123 is not that big of a deal to me.

decided to take the plunge, testing it out, not terrible, and the battery thing is nice, right now I'm using old remote control batteries and it works good enough for around the house, i use a headlamp as my primary so this is a nice back up might write a review on it after some use.
