M.T.O watch project,
on: July 23, 2010, 06:42:23 PM
After lots of chatting with Def our great host, im finally doing 10 watches, im only doing a run of 10 now and more later but will have slight changes and ill be doing each issue in batches of 10, they will be available with ss bracelet of top quality or a choice of different colored nato straps,or both for a extra cost, these are nice quality submariner cased style watches, SS case with screw in crown and case backs and full gasket sets, mineral glass with very good magnification cyclops for the date and a 21 jewel seagull movement ,these watches will be tested and i have swam in the sea with these on but i cant do a full pressure test as equipment cost a lot of money and it cost around £70 to get them tested but i will say a rating of 3ATM but these can take more, as i said only 10 now and i will be sending def the case backs to get the m laser etched with the site logo and the issue # ive not worked out OS postage yet and i wont everyone to get a very nice watch at a good price, so the watch with a SS bracelet will be £40 and £35with a nato without PO costs, ill sort that asap, im  away for a week monday camping so please ask questions here and leave your name on the list, ill add ryan as he is number #1  :tu: oh i will need money via paypal and then i order the parts, most of the parts take 1-2 weeks plus building time i will send the case backs to def once got them all so you could be waiting possible 1 month for the watch from start to finnish,

A big thanks to def for the chance to do this project in a hobby i love and have passion for,

thanks
paul

Can I request #9?

How much for SS bracelet and Nato?  What colours of Nato available?

Any other pix or styles?  I'm in Canada so can I get a quote with shipping?

Very cool, no rush, I just got a great, nice watch as a gift last month so a little longer wait is okay with me (as long as it's not stuck in shiping or customs!).

It's just cool to have a handmade watch from a true enthusiast like yourself.  I had a Swatch Chrono Automatic, but 2 samples broke within a week, so it's nice to get something reliable!

 :ahhh

You'll have to tell me a good flashlight/torch you really like, perhaps I can source one for you or do a custom mod for it (i'm into flashlights...).

no problem mate , these movements are like little workhorses, they are copies of the swiss ETA movements but of course not as costly,

here are some nato pics.not sure about red at the moment as out of stock, but i will try if anyone wants one,

How come it's called bond Nato?  007 Bond?

ALso, is that what the face will look like (1st post)?  Or are you doing aged ones too?
