These are just regular orb wavers, about thumb pad size including legs when full grown. Luckily we don't have any of the nasty spiders with the cold winter here. I actually don't mind them, and generally leave them alone unless they are in an annoying location, keep the bug population down.

Oh and see the other blob in the background? That's another nest that hasn't started dispersing yet.

It was cloudy here too, but I managed to get a few shots when the clouds moved out of the way. Used a Canon 70-200 Lens with a multiplier and a Tripod.

I remember, in the UK, everybody waiting with excitement to see the solar eclipse, I think it was in 1999; in the end, because of the clouds, we saw nothing... Good day of partying though.

It's a Sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6 it was half the price of the Tokina 11-16mm and unlike the Tokina they had it in the shop

I went out yesterday to do some wildlife photography, something I haven't done in a while. So I took out the Canon 50D and Bigma with gun stock mount out into the searing heat. What was I thinking? The problem being, the animals were far more sensible then I and stayed well away from the heat. In other words I didn't see a thing other than a few skittish little birds. Seeing that there was nothing to take photographs, and I was dragging my heavy rig around with me, I decided to snap this photo to prove a point to my own stupidity.

Yes, that is heat haze caused by dumb hot temperatures with a lot of humidity.

However, I soldiered around the local park in the hopes that I could see something of interest and not make my outing a total wash. On my way back to my vehicle, I spied something interesting way out in St Mary's River.

Someone had taken the time to build an inukshuk in a strange spot. Def you are correct, these things are popping up everywhere.

I do not know about international availability, but they are being sold now, in these 3 styles of glass bottle, here, for 0.60 Euro, so as a “collecting person” I had to buy, and drink them
