OMG!!  Better than I could have imagined. Pictures to follow... different than anything I've seen before.... either I didn't pay attention to the marketing pictures close enough or they don't show it quite right or I forget what the silver ones really look like.  Pictures as soon as I can... back to work tomorrow already... no time to play with Christmas toys.

I'm also surpised, and happy, that someone gifted me a SAK. It's one I already have, but now I can use this one as part of my EDC kit as it's a Slim Flash model and I've not really been EDCing one of those yet.

Quite a few others for wiki pictures and study as well.

It was a good SAK Christmas.

Santa showed up a bit late, but came through in style:

Victorinox Huntsman Camo Fun Series: Blue, Green, Rose, Orange.

While listed as a 'Fun' series, most of these would actually be very effective camouflage in various parts of the Rockies and Colorado Plateau.

Victorinox Classic Urban Life: Paris, San Francisco, New York, Train, Shanghai, Tokyo.

A rather variable series; Paris and San Francisco are great. Some others, particularly Tokyo, could be better.

Oh you guys are too funny .  Most people would tell me I'm too excited about any SAK I get the  ::) look all the time.

On a SAK crazy level maybe I didn't express my recent excitement for the Horn Handled Cheeze knife enough... I'm still pretty excited about that one.  A great idea that was more along the lines they would do in the past.

Sorry no artificial light setup right now, I was depending on 90% daylight for the last 8 months and now I'm affraid daylight is ending at 4pm now, and most of the time the daylight is no good photographic light.  I'll work something out ASAP, it should happen on the weekend if not before.

A Mechanic which will be mated with a Spartan-Lite to produce a Mechanic-Lite.
Will probably replace the small blade with a Combo-tool and ditch the opener layer so I can add scissors without making it too much of a brick.

That Evo S557 has all the Wenger specific tools and scales, without being bulky as the Toolchest plus. I like it too.

Swapped out the broken blade in the mini-champ I got in the lot of "damaged, broken and ugly" SAKs I picked up on ebay a few weeks back. Also gave it the scales off the Signature that was in there for the hideous damage of a broken scissor spring.

So, even counting the donor knife for the repairs and new(ish) scales this cost me a whole $5.00

Yup. I forgot about that one. Now that I look, mine has a CS not a Philips, so I guess it is still a Deluxe Mountaineer.

Someone's going to be happy when he gets back from holiday...

Background one is mine, foreground is a commissioned job.  I'll leave it up to the owner to-be to say who if they want to.

Applied lessons learned on #1 to the new build and a lot more care and attention to detail.
Just because I don't mind a bit of "hand built character" doesn't mean everybody does.
I'm pretty happy with #2, as (hopefully) will be the owner.

Both the same size (84mm)  just a trick of perspective that makes right one look bigger.

Sweeeet

Especially love the paperclip backtool

(yeah, I have trouble getting the little buggers to stand up straight for pic's too)

Every time I see one of these scissors&saw Cadets I go in and take a good looooong look at my red Cadet.
One of these days Cadet...one of these days, bam, zoom, straight to the moon. Scissors, Saw and Brass liners. Vic tools too, none of my Hybrid Hijinks for this one.

I have been slowly catching the Victorinox bug myself. It started a year ago with several really worn old Alox models. I played around with a bunch of medium to large folders but just did not feel comfortable with that type of knife. So, a bunch of them went off to ebay and financed a much more refined looking One Handed Sentinel with no serrations. If it handles as I hope it does I'd like to add a One Hand Trekker too in my EDC bag.

For daily carry I have been debating between a few models. On the lighter side I am thinking a Hiker or Camper as a small saw would be handy for my woods walks just can't decide between the corkscrew or the Phillips. For a bit heavier (bulkier?) EDC pocket carry maybe a Climber or an Explorer (love the magnifier). Of course whichever two I choose need to be in black.

Ideally the Hiker and Camper could both be left behind if I could find a black Alox Farmer.

Tony
