You like more nice photos?? :D
I`ve coated some parts for my Charge TTi beautification project with TiN, the blades and tools get a black DLC coating tomorrow. If everything is ok I can reassemble the Charge on Monday or Tuesday.

I think that will be a nice Charge TTi, a Limited Edition #1/1 :D

......4 or 5 times harder than the steel under the coating.

Texas Tool Crafters use 24 Karat Gold for the coating.........thats not really durable. The better solution is TiN, very hard and golden too :)

I'm now just wishing I'd bought a TTI (or preferably TI) rather than an AL...hey ho... ::)

The Charge AL is one on my wishlist although I'm in no hurry to buy it. I used to have an ALX and was sorry I sold it. I liked the aluminum handles very much.

The more I get thinking about it, the more I begin to think that I prefer the AL slightly to the TTi.  If my TTi had the regular serrated blade and non-cap crimper pliers, I'd be all set.

I bought it over the TTI as I really do not like the hooked blade, but it's never been used and sits NIB in a drawer.  I use a Swiss Tool in preference, a shame really as the Charge has a good reputation as a tool  :)

I have a couple of the older LM Charge TTi models and sometimes find it a bit more tool than is necessary. On those occasions an Alox SAK sometime gets the nod. But the standard 93mm Alox SAK doesn't come with some of the features that are box stock on the Charge TTi. Namely, scissors, locking blade, higher wear resistant blade steel (CPM S-30V), diamond abrasive file and removable pocket clip. So that got me thinking, maybe a Charge TTi with less could be more for occasions when my needs don't require a fully blown TTi.
So this is what I ended up doing some months ago. It's pretty light, has become a goto tool and does the business with great compactness and competence.

Nice.
The regular bit holder could be there instead of the small one and the prying driver. And there's room on the other side for a couple of tools too, although it would be difficult to implement them without backspring or lockin mechanism.

I use the other flank when needed. It is stand alone, no problem. You can mix and match tools to a degree.
For example one can swap around the outside main blades but the internal tool widths make for some limitation on selection. Only one side can incorporate room for the removable pocket clip or lanyard attachment, whilst the other keeps the fixed retractable lanyard loop.

Nice.

I couldn't get the regular bit holder and scissors to fit in the width. For memory it was wider than the flat screwdriver and small bit holder.
Yes, there certainly is some room at the plier end for some tool(s).
