Are skeletools with date code rare? Or is it just that they weren't coded at the beginning?

I was checking my leatherman tools to see their date codes and while searching for location of the stamp I found a thread that said that Skeletool was not stamped, but mine is.

The only tools in my collection that aren't stamped (or I can't find a stamp) are: Rebar, OHT and Flair. Maybe also a supertool.

They didn't have datecodes from the beginning

Any LM before 1992 didn't have datecodes either :salute:

This one is stamped in the same place that the Freestyle is.

I don't have any other ones to check.

Was there an announcement for the two new color Skeletool CX?

I have the guava in hand but the place I bought it from removed the page for it.

Here's a weird find from the Exchange -  a coyote tan Skeletool that's SS instead of BO.

Had one of these carbon fiber versions, sold it and regretted selling it.  Bought another one which arrived today.
This is gently used, it's difficult to find this version at a decent price.

I ended up getting my hands on the second new unannounced color today. It’s labeled OD Green on the label

I can make you a coyote/green half & half with this one if you want.  I’ve got at least one coyote skeletool laying around.

That's ok :)  I already have the normal coyote tan Skeletool.  I'm just hoping they make a CX version.
