I got to try it when my st300 was returned. Nice axe. It also has a new cover now more suited than the brown electricians tape.

Did you make a new cover/mask for it Farmman?

 :pok: Pictures please

Better late than never ...

Simple but effective
Thanks again mate for all your help on these  :salute:

A different camera

I've not done anything extra to it yet, but I will be giving it another nudge when time permits  ;)

I still really like that little chopper mate, it's an odd piece but a very pleasing one IMO.  Nice work on the masks.

The little one I re-handled when I was an apprentice after I broke the 20oz claw hammer that my Dad brought me   ::)

I don't know what happened to the hammer head and I can't remember what happened to the original Ax handle

But nice to see someone using it  :tu:

 ^  :D

Here's my latest try at a Patina

And a couple of small alterations to my Machete sheath
Added a button and changed the lanyard to something a bit easier to see (after playing 'hunt the un-sheathed machete' in a pile of pine branches  :o ) and a ring on the back  :tu:

Its actually as dark as the one in Al's picture above  :tu:
I think I might have buggered up the shaft getting it stained with vinegar  :-[

LoL, much better :D

I'm surpised it didn't stripe.  Perhaps a sstronger acid is needed?  That's just an uneducated guess by the way!

They did stripe but it didn't look very good,  ::)

That's when I wrapped it in paper and vinegar, stuck it in a plastic bag and left it in the garage for a few days  :D

You can make all kinds of things with ferric acid and blank circuit board  ;)

That sounds a little extreme Ryan  :ahhh
