yeah I'm a latin cow! I needs to workout!!

I bought a nice Bianchi road bike about 2 months ago to start exercising again. It looks great. I wonder what it rides like?  :ahhh :ahhh

Calvin
Bianchi? Bianchi? Did you say B-I-A-N-C-H-I? What model? If you get tired of it,ship it to me :D

Indeed I did say Bianchi, as in a Via Narone 7 with the aluminum/carbon frame, ultegra components, all, of course, in Celeste!

I lied, it was not 2 months ago, the receipt says I made this fine purchase on 8/18/07. :ahhh :ahhh

Calvin
 , you lucky, lucky sod :), a bit too speciallized for me (I prefer tourer/expedtion bikes) but they are unbelivibly gorgeous :)
Give in, buy several Farmer's!!!!!!

Ride, ride, that's right, I need to RIDE it.

As far as price goes it was $1000 cheaper than the "all carbon " frame! :o

micky d, this is from the "Coast 2 Coast" line from Bianchi. I thought this would make a pretty good all around bike.

No your right there a damn sight more comfortable than an out and out sports bike, and the frame does soak up vibration nicely :), I just prefer heavier, more rugged bikes, (we have truly awful roads here in the UK >:().

Heres my sort of thing...

That's more rugged alright.

i bought a Specialized "Rock Hopper" mountain bike about 15 years ago and had another set of rims with slicks on them for road use. Less than a minute to switch out rims, makes a great multi-use bike. Much better than one of those dreadful "hybrids".

Roadie, you beat me to the post, great looking Cannondale. Almost bought one instead of my Specialized.

I just love the forks on Cannondale's! Which maniac thought it would be fun to only have it on one side...a crazed genius thats who! Slicks are a good way to transform a mtb into a pretty good road bike, especially if you have a lockout on your forks. Another type of bike i like the looks of are CycloCross bikes, basically a road bike frame with big knobbly tyres on!

Geez, you kiddies.....take it from me,once you get past 40,it all comes easy, and quick, too quick :D I have to agree with the assessment about hybrid bikes. The worst traits of all types of bikes, and little or none of the best. The closest to hybrid would be basically a flat bar road bike. And my picks would be the Jamis Coda Sport, nothing rides like steel.
http://www.jamisbikes.com/usa/bikes/08_bikes/08codasport.html

Or the Specialized Sirrus.

Viper - You're fly is undone, and the channel in the Skipper beneath the marling spike is a Shackle Key.

Gimme a sec to calculate (you wacky yanks and your wacky lbs. - Measuring in Kgs and millimetres reveals my youthfulness)
<160lbs.

I get injured in light breezes.
