it has been in few colour combinations, like many lighthouses do.its more easier to navigate, for ships, when they know what colours of the light houses are visible from different directions.you know,if only two opponent sides are red&white and the other two opponent sides are white, and you know that one that are whit, are facing north and south you know your position in map etc...

i cant tell this in english very well, hope u understand :-\
I understood just fine mate, your English is pretty good mate :)

I did wonder if it was a light house, I just couldn't see the actual light :)

its located on 59deg 46,9n / 21deg 22,3e

its been there from 1753 although it was blown in about 1808-09 in fiinnish war, then they rebuilded it on the original leftovers6ruins back in 1814,the light was fixed,it wasnt blinking until 1906,and it had the radiosystem for navigating too,at 1935 but the radio was silenced because satellite time did it almost useless in 1996,and at the same time the last there worked man quitted too.

im a total lighthouse freak,i just love those.

our best in my opinion is this, bengtskär light house in front of Hanko named town.
heres a few shots of it,ive been there some twnty times diving and just hangin out.
u can get there by boat only.

the russians tried to capture it but got rejected, luckily, heres a memorial sign:

heres some location maps etc:

if u ever wanna visit that awesome old lighthouse, battleground, dive there or visit a fully stone made sauna ;) :

In response to Eddies flower pics, I occasionally like taking a few flower pics too... here's a couple I have taken with my DSLR:

Thanks. :) Sometimes I forget how prety it is around here. It took going out with a camera to take pics of MTs for me to notice again... :P
