Hi folks,
Maybe a new twist, maybe not. Anyhow, over the years there has been a lot of discussion about some of the Victorinox Phillips screwdrivers and why they sometimes slip.
I sat here looking at mine, and comparing them to standard #2 Phillips hex bits and had some pozi drive bits sitting there. Hmm, it kind of looks like some of the Victorinox Phillips heads are shaped more like pozi drive heads than true Phillips heads. Which might explain why they some times slip or cam out of regular #2 screw heads. I have used 1/4" hex pozi drive bits and had them slip out of screws made for #2 Phillips. So, it might not simply be the texture, but more the shape.
I wish I had some pozi drive screws to test this out on. If anyone has some pozi drive screws, it might be an interesting test.
In any case, here are a couple pictures to help explain what I mean.
The pozi drive is the middle one, #2 phillips to the right of that.

Common sense ..... so rare, it's virtually a super power.
