Beautiful Explorer!

Add a small (and a large) serrated knife blade - and you'd have my perfect EDC.

I think this is the first waiter I ever built....  84mm is a nice size, I only wish it wasnt so hard to fit all the bigger tools on this frame.

I agree - But you don't need to - Just get a Wenger  :D - Please note MTo (Vic) SAK colleagues!!!  :D  :D

The Explorer is great - Although I think the brass liner behind the wrench would look better in Ti (is that even possible?) or a colour that blended in with the scale!!

Still lovin' all your work S007

PS. Not sure about operating the mill - But it seems like you need to be an electrical and mechanical engineer, and be up for a few improvisations (eg seal, door adjustments, hoist) just to install it. Well done mate.
Thanks for all the vids - It was like following an exciting series on the telly - Could not wait for the next episode !

So now you don't even need donor SAKs. Just make the whole thing yourself.

I'm wondering if this could go in the 91mm frame. Surely it could.

Welcome aboard! :tu:
JR

Thank you JR :-)

I would like to be able to separate the layers of a Celidor model, playing with them to know if they can be reversed, see how the tools are on springs, etc.. Can someone tell me if it's without risks to disassemble it (just drilling and remove the bushings?) after getting threaded tubes and screws?
Any advice will be welcome! ..before ordering a modded SAK ;-)

Hi, again. :D

You can find most of the how to's in the thread at the top of this board, convivially named SAK modding guides, all in one place. ;)

Here's the direct link to the first post that leads to other how to's.

http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,43303.msg695993.html#msg695993

As for it being easy, nope. >:D

You'll need carbide drill bits to enlarge the holes of the tools to fit your screws in. And your drill might slip and damage the scale if you're doing it on ALOX models. And you might damage or lose some of the bushings if you're doing it on Celidor models.

But where would the fun be without a bit of danger, right? :P We've all destroyed a SAK or two. Some, like Syph007 have done whole SAK massacres. :ahhh

So while you're still learning, it's best to do it on some beater SAKs, used, which you won't be sorry for if something unforeseen happens. :salute:

Happy modding.
