How are we doing for Comparative Blade lengths on Multi tools?
Is there a reference somewhere? If not, why have not we made one? that is what we are here for!

Go on, get to it!

I can't say i know of one, it's a good idea though as that's what a lot of people use a lot on a multi. You could take it up as a challenge!

I don't have enough to really make a spec - and most of mine are not the Big Brands ones.

I don't have any input to give to the topic, but here's a picture.  :D

Sweet Vulcan father of Forging!

Will you LOOK at that?

Fuse, Kick, MP400, Crunch, MP 600, Recoil, Bearjaws, PST, Freehand, Core, Surge, Supertool, Powerlock, Charge, New Wave, Old Wave, Not sure, Schrade, Some other Schrade, Micra, Pulse.

And to think when I started here I would have said "Look at all those Leatherman knock offs"

Picture distracted me for a bit - I'll Vernier up the ones in the store tomorrow.

I think those Schrade ones are actually Buck 360's could be wrong though! And the "not sure" one i think is a Black Oxide  Blast.

How forgetful of me to post a picture with no list! Here's the order, starting at the top with the Paradox and moving down left-right.

Top: Paradox.

Row#1: Fuse, Kick, MP400, Crunch, MP600, Recoil, Bear Jaws, PST.

Row#2: Freehand, Core, Surge, SuperTool 200, PowerLock, Charge Ti, 2004 Wave, Old Wave, Blast, Buck 355.

Bottom (top-down then left-right): Buck 350, Micra, Pulse.

This is a fairly old picture and represents maybe about 1/2 my collection now. If I had to pick a favorite, out of the tools pictured, it would either be the Blast of the Freehand. Both have excellent cutting blades.

By and by -

Measures are not terribly accurate due to differening blade styles and my dodgy eyes.
LM Wave - 70mm
LM PST - 64mm
LM Crunch - 46.3
LM Surge - 76mm (??)
LM Core - 72mm

Vic Pioneer - 62mm
Vic Classic - 32.68mm

Not really. It's a nice tool for a lot of users but it just needs too much assembly for EDC. My example was also fairly sharp on the edges and stiff, I didn't ever feel like breaking it in so it never got carried.

It's on my list to buy again, in the Black Oxide finish.
