I popped the gut hook off the end of the serrated blade on my Leatherman Charge TTi.  :-\

I was cutting packing straps and the tip just popped off.  :oops:

So, off it goes to Portland for a little R&R.

I was pretty stunned how easily it popped off.  I didn't even think about it.

It popped off exactly where you'd think it would too.

I suppose it's all in the heat treatment and this would go for any knife SAK or multitool.  :whistle:

I broke mine on my charge opening the communication room door at work because lazy managers wont open it for me. Done it a hundred times before one day.....snap....doh! :facepalm:

guthook is one handy tool...back on a wave for work these days

I used to use the gut hook for opening boxes. It was very useful  :tu:
